Logos

A logo is a graphic representation - complete with uniquely arranged typeface - of a company or commercial brand. It is an aspect of the corporate identity and is generally different from others in similar markets. Logos used in the promotions are called service marks.

Most logos are static. They don't change much over time for the simple reason that the logo's primary purpose is instant consumer recognition. However, some companies have incorporated dynamic logos. These logos contain certain elements which change over time and by setting.

Logos are one of the most important and most difficult aspects of graphic design. Much thought and analysis goes into picking the right elements for the proper look and feel of a logo - from color to typeface. Once the logo is determined, many are registered as trademarks, which protect both the logo and company identity.
